Joan M. Bell

Joan M. Bell, 76, of Lancaster, formerly of North Washington, died at 10:17 p.m. Friday at The Glen at Willow Valley in Lancaster.

Born June 11, 1930, in Butler, she was the daughter of Richard James and Viletta Violet Stamm Campbell.

She retired as a school nurse from Moniteau High School in 1995.

Mrs. Bell was a former member of the North Washington Presbyterian Church and was a member of The Worship Center in New Holland, Lancaster County, for the past 10 years.

She is survived by: two daughters, Mrs. Cary (Cindy) Sagady of Chester Springs, Chester County, and Cheryl "Chery" Swope of Maryland; four grandchildren, Krystin and Amie Sagady and Christopher and Scott Swope; and a great-grandchild, Jillian.

Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Jean) Fry of Madera, Clearfield County, and Mrs. Leslie (Vera) Edinboro of West Sunbury; and four brothers, Reed Campbell of West Sunbury, George Campbell of Beaverton, Ore., William Campbell of Petrolia and Clyde Campbell of Chicago, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Lewis Bell, who died July 21, 1993, and two brothers.

<B>BELL </B>— Friends of Joan M. Bell, who died Friday, Oct. 27, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kevin Giddings officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Varnum Cemetery, Washington TownshipIn lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, One Station Square, The Landmark Building, Suite 500, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
