James Gallagher

James Edward Gallagher, 57 of Lake Placid, Fla., died Aug. 14 after a brief illness.

He was born in Butler to Edward A. and Sara I. Gallagher of Slippery Rock.

Mr. Gallagher attended Butler High School, and he always enjoyed fixing anything that had a motor, whether a car or boat.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Janice Clark Gallagher; a son, Michael Gallagher of Portland, Ore., three daughters, Amy and Jordan Gallagher, both of Fort Lauderdale, and Jamie Gallagher at home; three sisters and three brothers, Helen (Bob) Daubenspeck of Greer, S.C., Sally (Bob) Birckbichler of Volant, Tom (Donna) Gallagher of Piedmont, S.C., Clarence (Debbie) Gallagher of Greenville, S.C., Ann (Mike) Coggins of Spartanburg, S.C., and Robert (Lisa) Gallagher of Boyers. He also is survived by an aunt, two uncles and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.

<B>GALLAGHER</B> — James Edward Gallagher, who died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, will be cremated, and the family will have a private service later.Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at their homes and to his widow and children at P.O. Box 0746, Lake Placid, FL 33862-0746.
