Bessie Novelli, 99, of 117 Hickory St. died Tuesday at Chicora Medical Center.

Born in Italy, Feb. 11, 1907, she was the daughter of Alphonso and Michelina Gallo.

She was a homemaker and member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

Her husband, Michael Novelli, died in 1986.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Angeline Wahler, Mrs. Olga Smith and Cecelia Novelli, all of Butler, and Mrs. Rose McDonald of Florida; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

<B>NOVELLI</B> — Friends of Bessie Novelli, who died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, will be received from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Center Avenue, with the Rev. James Dolan officiating. Burial will be at the St. Michael Cemetery.
