Robbery suspect bolts from police
A suspect in a Butler robbery allegedly fled state troopers Tuesday afternoon.
Christopher A. Gratzinger is wanted for an overnight robbery that occurred in Butler.
When the state police arrived at a Chicora residence, Gratzinger fled on foot, according to Capt. Steve Ignatz.
Butler police have an arrest warrant for Gratzinger, who is described as a white male, 30 years old, standing 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. Gratzinger has brown hair and several tattoos, including on his neck and body.
He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt (possibly Pittsburgh Steelers apparel), a dark-hooded sweat shirt and striped sweat pants. He may not have shoes on his feet at this time.
Gratzinger, whose address was not known, is facing one felony robbery and one misdemeanor possession of an instrument of crime charges, which were filed Tuesday by city police.
He has been arrested multiple times in recent years and accused of stealing valuables to support a crack cocaine habit. He has convictions dating back to 2006 including theft, trespassing, burglary and escape charges, according to online court documents.
