The Tour Championship for the U.S. Kids Golf Pittsburgh Local Tour was held at Lake Arthur Country Club recently. Winners from the area included Lauren Freyvogel of Gibsonia with a 41, Megan Leto of Wexford with an 87, Blake Bertolo of Gibsonia with a 41, Henry Bartony III with a 35, and Jason Li of Cranberry Township with a 78.
Junior golfers from the area receiving Player of the Year awards for the eight-event season were Freyvogel, Bertolo, Bartony, Li, and Matthew Dimarsico of Wexford.
Area junior golfers receiving Top 5 awards for the season were Leto, Paige Scott of Butler, Natalie Welsh of Valencia, Maggie Bartony of Butler, Noah Kumar of Mars, Owen Blazer of Cranberry Twp., Todd Hangliter of Seven Fields, Troy Loughry of Grove City, James Ellis of Butler, Zach Gehm of Harmony, Adam Bushee of Cranberry Twp., Ryan Dougherty of Wexford, Scott Hangliter of Seven Fields, Garrett Schlick of Harmony and Nathan Yackovich of Gibsonia.
