Linda Giles Macri, 62, of New Castle died Wednesday at Jameson Memorial Hospital, New Castle.

Born Sept. 1, 1944, in Richmond, Va., she was the daughter of Aubry West and Mildred Giles.

She was a 1962 graduate of Butler High School. She also graduated from the Shenango Valley School of Business with an associate and specialized business degree in secretarial science and was a medical office assistant major.

She later worked as a licensed practical nurse.

She enjoyed helping others in need.

She is survived by a sister, Mary Macri of Butler; one nephew, and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Heasley, and a nephew.
