EVANS CITY — The Evans City Historical Society will host “A Round Table on Business of Our Past” at 7 p.m. Monday in the community room of the Evans City Library, 218 N. McKean St.

The free program will discuss Dambach Lumber, EC Roller Rink, Miller Hotel and Shoup's Hardware. Attendees are encouraged to bring pictures, articles and artifacts for any of these well-remembered business.

The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department has set the first day of shelter reservations for 2020 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Feb. 28 at the Government Center, 124 W. Diamond St.Reservations will be taken on the fourth floor in the Jury Assembly Room. Checks and cash will be accepted. Multiple checks may be needed for security deposits.
