CRANBERRY TWP —Comtra Theatre on Route 19 will hold auditions for the musical “Bye Bye Birdie” from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Saturday and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

There are roles for all ages. Performers should take a prepared Broadway style or ’50s rock-style song to sing. There will be readings from the script and a movement audition.

Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays from July 6 to 21.

Advanced students up to and including college age can apply.

Each 10-minute audition will consist of a solo of the musician’s choice, scales and specific orchestral excerpts.

An audition application form, guidelines and most music excerpts can be downloaded from www.pyso.us.

Audition dates will be May 14 for woodwinds; May 17 for brass, percussion and harp; May 19 for viola, cello and bass; and May 20 for violins.

Audition times will be scheduled in advance after an application form and nonrefundable audition fee have been received.
