The new T.W. Phillips Barn at Succop Nature Park in Penn Township opens to the public Saturday with a slate of free activities including guided hikes, food trucks, fishing demonstrations, entertainment, crafts and bird trivia free from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The renovated barn features a WindStax turbine that supplies electricity to the building, a nature store, classroom space, a large upstairs area that can be used for programs or rentals, and numerous bathrooms. The barn is one of the major elements of the Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania’s $7 million Centennial Campaign. Visit aswp.org.
