Events in Butler County this weekend: ‘What is a little rain going to hurt?’
I don’t think I have ever experienced such a rainy summer. It’s forcing people to stay inside and retreat into beach reads for a little sunshine.
But stormy weather has yet to stop Butler from planning a slew of events to attend week after week. More advertisements boast “rain or shine,” and that should be encouraging to folks. Because the fact of the matter is, what is a little rain going to hurt?
With the right attitude, rain can add to the whimsy of a local event; it makes dancing in the rain possible when it wasn’t before!
We will seek shelter when advised but will not be deterred by cloudy skies when it comes to creating a summer full of fun memories. I’m saying this as a plea for you to seize the moment, but also as a reminder to myself that it’s all about perspective.
Even if this weather isn’t what you were looking forward to this summer, the events you see below certainly can be. Give them all a look-see… even the outdoor ones!
