B’NAI ABRAHAM

A Festival Succot service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Congregation B’nai Abraham, 519 N. Main St. New religious school students will be consecrated.

The Kiddush and Oneg, sponsored by Roberta Gallagher in honor of new and returning members, will take place in the Succah.

Christ Community UNITED METHODIST

The youth of Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will lead both worship services Sunday.

A potluck dinner will follow the traditional service Sunday in Oz Hall. Take a dish to serve 15.

The NOW committee will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Choir practice for the 50th anniversary celebration services will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. All past choir members are invited to participate.

CHRIST'S OUTREACH

Christ’s Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave., will have a new men’s group meeting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Mac’s Route 8 Café, 16 Pittsburgh Road.

COMMUNITY LIFE

Community Life Church holds services at McQuistion Elementary School.

Hit the Streets meets at 6 p.m. today at the YWCA parking lot, 120 W. Cunningham St. Contact Kevin Riordan with questions.

Altar worker training will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the YMCA, 339 N. Washington St. There will be a building fund offering and a Laundromat ministry outing Sunday.

Covenant PRESBYTERIAN

The 2015-16 edition of the church directory of Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., is available and may be picked up in the Assembly Room.

The noisy offering of loose change will be received during the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service.

GRACE@CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace@Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will open Grace’s Closet, a free clothing bank, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church.

Treasure Hunter’s Sale donations can be dropped off between 9 a.m. and noon, Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Confirmation students will also meet at 9 a.m. Sunday.

The Treasure Hunter’s Sale and bake sale will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 1. Donations for the bake sale should be dropped off Wednesday at the church.

GRACEWAY

GraceWay meets at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Lyric Ackelson and Tishy Hornsby will provide the special music at GraceWay in the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The Rev. Connie Dunn will be the guest speaker at the Presbyterian Women’s Thank Offering service Sunday at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St.

Bibles will be presented to third-grade students during worship.

The Heartstrings benefit recital will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the church. Proceeds benefit the “Girls for Grandmas” Walk to End Alzheimers.

RIDER LUTHERAN

Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury, will have a regular 10 a.m. Sunday worship service followed by an outreach program at Butler Memorial Park, 380 Evans City Road. Wear work clothes.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., will start a new adult education series at 9:15 a.m. Sunday in the church library.

The Ninth Annual Community Day of Prayer will be Saturday. The sanctuary will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for anyone who wishes to stop in and pray.

The Fall Rummage Sale will be Oct. 2 and 3.

ST.JOHN'S LUTHERAN

The Rev. Gary Brown, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, 100 Main St., Connoquenessing, has returned from his vacation and will lead the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

The PM Sewing Ministry of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, will meet at 6 p.m. today.

The sanctuary will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday for community quiet time.

ST. PAUL ROMAN CATHOLIC

St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St. will celebrate Mass in Spanish at 2 p.m. Sunday.

SUMMIT PRESBYTERIAN

Summit Presbyterian Church, 181 Caldwell Drive, will have Sunday worship at 9:30 a.m., followed by coffee fellowship. The youth group will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday.

The praise team will practice at 6:30 p.m., and the Chancel Choir will rehearse at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

TRINITY PRESBYTERIAN

Trinity Presbyterian Church, 107 Staley Ave., Butler Township, is starting a new ministry, Breakfast Club, a weekly event offering breakfast, fellowship, and spiritual growth for children and adults.

It will start Sunday with breakfast served at 9:30 a.m., followed by study and conversation for adults and an activity/craft for children. Participants will be invited to the sanctuary at 11 a.m. for the worship service.

ZION UNITED METHODIST

Zion United Methodist Church, 438 Bear Creek Road, Sarver, will have a church council meeting at 9 a.m. Sunday followed by worship at 10 a.m.
