CHRIST COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST

Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will have its fall fest from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday. There will be pony rides, hay rides and a trunk and treat. The event is free.

The potluck dinner planned for Sunday is canceled.

Sunday will be the end of the stewardship campaign.

CHRIST'S OUTREACH

Christ’s Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave., will have a men’s breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Mac’s Route 8 Café, 16 Pittsburgh Road. Participants will pay for their own breakfast.

The fall bonfire and picnic will be at 5 p.m. Saturday. Take a dish to share. Call the church office at 724-283-8407 for sign up and the location.

There will be a dinner study at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 29 in the Café at the church.

COMMUNITY LIFE

Community Life Church holds service at McQuistion Elementary School.

The Princess and Superhero Harvest Party for children will be during the Sunday service. For more information, contact Pastor Ben Ogle.

The Lowrie place visit will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Children in costumes will visit with the residents, paint pumpkins and have treats. For more information, contact Natalie Wall.

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., will have a clergy appreciation reception following the Sunday worship service.

The noisy offering will be received during the Sunday service.

FIRST BAPTIST

First Baptist Christian School of First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will have a fall harvest festival at 10 a.m. Friday for kindergarten through fifth grade.

There will be a vocal concert by the Lineage of David trio during the Sunday worship service.

The youth group will have a harvest party from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at a location to be determined. There will be a costume contest, games and food. Take chips, pop or dessert and money for pizza.

FIRST BAPTIST OF EVANS CITY

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

Men’s night out for Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will be at 5:30 p.m. today at the Lyndora Hotel, 1 Main St., Lyndora.

Grace’s Closet will be closed Saturday but volunteers will gather at 9 a.m. to prepare the closet with winter clothes.

In the News Bible study will meet a 9 a.m. Sunday in the back of the sanctuary.

GRACEWAY

GraceWay meets at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Ben Nti from Ghana, a third-year student at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, will deliver the message at the Sunday worship service of Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St.

The yarn group will meet Sunday following worship in the Hall lounge.

There will be a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday to benefit the Hill Youth Chorale’s trip to New York City in December.

A costume party will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday during Kids Club.

MERIDIAN UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The sewing group at Meridian United Presbyterian Church, 4150 Highland Ave., will meet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday. Attendees should take a lunch.

NEW BEGINNINGS

The New Beginnings Free Methodist Church, 416 Center Ave., will begin a new program at 5 p.m. Thursdays called “God’s Choice.” This worship service will focus on individuals with special needs, their spouses, caregivers, family and friends. OLD UNION PRESBYTERIAN

Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, will have information about two recent mission trips by church members during worship Nov. 1. Peki Seminary will be honored for its 150th anniversary.

Copies of “Super Mom of Gallilee,” a novel with commentary by the Rev. de Vries, are available for purchase in the church lobby.

PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF PORTERSVILLE

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., will celebrate its Scottish Presbyterian heritage during the 49th annual Scottish Sunday worship service. This year, special music will include bagpipes, a piper and a Scottish fiddler. After worship, there will be a luncheon highlighting Scottish fare and musical entertainment.

SPRINGDALE LUTHERAN

A new small group is forming at Springdale Lutheran Church, 1061 Mahood Road, West Sunbury, to learn and practice crafting skills for service projects. The initial meeting at 11 a.m. Saturday will focus on beginning crochet.

The Festival of Reformation will be celebrated with Holy Communion at the Sunday worship service. Attendees are encouraged to wear red.

ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN

St. John’s Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, 100 Main St., Connoquenessing, will have a special Communion to celebrate Reformation Sunday.

The next BALM Meeting will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St.

ST. LUKE'S CHURCH

The PM Sewing Ministry of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, will meet at 6 p.m. today.

A meeting about a possible trip to Germany will be at 6:30 today.

The Kids Club will go skating from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Reformation will be celebrated Sunday at all services. Holy Communion will be shared.

Community Quiet Time will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the sanctuary.

ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH

St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., will celebrate the Reformation at its weekend worship services.

SUMMIT PRESBYTERIAN

WHITESTOWN ROAD BAPTIST CHURCH

Whitestown Road Baptist Church, 409 Whitestown Road, will have its annual founders day celebration beginning with a light lunch at noon Sunday.

The Echo Valley bluegrass band will give a free concert at 7 p.m. Sunday.

ZION LUTHERAN

Zion Lutheran Church, 266 Zion Church Road, Chicora, will have a congregational meeting Nov. 1 after the worship service.
