RELIGIOUS ROUNDUP

CHRIST COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST

Reservations are due Saturday for the 50th anniversary celebration of Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, on Nov. 8 at the Vagabond Center in Lyndora.

Baked goods for the Election Day bake sale on Tuesday should be delivered to the church Monday or early Tuesday.

To order homemade sausage, call the office at 724-287-4462 or use the sign-up sheet in the narthex.

CHRIST'S OUTREACH

Christ's Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave., will have a dinner study at 5:30 p.m. today in the cafe at the church. Participants should take their own dinners.

The church will participate in Operation Christmas Child. Shoeboxes with instructions are at the back of the sanctuary. For more information, call the church office at 724-283-8407.

COMMUNITY LIFE

Community Life Church holds services at McQuistion Elementary School.

All men are invited to carry wood for the Rev. Steve and the Rev. Mamie at 9 a.m. Saturday at 440 W. Pearl St. Lunch will be provided.

The final collection for Operation Christmas Child will be Nov. 22. A shoebox packing party will be at 10 a.m. Nov. 21. For more information, call Natalie Wall.

FIRST BAPTIST

First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will have an 8:30 a.m. breakfast Sunday followed by a prayer service, Sunday school and a worship service.

FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF EVANS CITY

The youth group of First Baptist Church of Evans City, 242 S. Washington St., Evans City, will meet at 7 p.m. Friday at the church.

The church will host Games Without Ghouls, a night without the scares, for children to earn prizes and candy, at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

Instead of two services Sunday, First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., will have a single 10 a.m. service, followed by a campaign luncheon hosted by the stewardship team. A sign-up sheet will be posted in the social hall.

GLADE RUN UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will serve Communion at both services Sunday.

The deacons will meet at 7 p.m. Monday.

GRACE@CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace@Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will celebrate All Saints' Sunday at the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

The confirmation class will meet at 9 a.m. Sunday in the pastor's office.

Volunteers from Grace will arrive at 4 p.m. Monday at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., to help with the community dinner.

Relay For Life will have its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the church.

Ladies' night out will be at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 5 at Rock Ann Haven, 141 Greenwood Drive.

GRACEWAY

GraceWay meets at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Beth Ackelson and Tabitha Snyder will provide the special music in the Sunday worship service. Also, the church will remember the persecuted church around the world in prayers.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., will celebrate the Lord's Supper during Sunday worship.

There will be a bake sale on Election Day in the fellowship hall to benefit the Hill Youth Chorale.

MARS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars, will have Communion at the 8:30 a.m. worship service Sunday.

There also will be a collection for the Glade Run Food Bank.

The women's Bible study will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the board room.

G.R.O.W. will meet at the church at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES

New Life Christian Ministries, 139 Knoch Road, Saxonburg, will celebrate the Lord's Supper this weekend.

For Operation Christmas Child, shoeboxes and instructions are available at the worship center.

The New Life collection and dedication weekend will be Nov. 7 and 8.

RIDER LUTHERAN CHURCH

Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury, will recognize All Saints' Day at the Sunday service.

The steering group and council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The November mission offering at Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., will go to the Samaritan Counseling Center of Western Pennsylvania.

SPRINGDALE LUTHERAN

Springdale Lutheran Church, 1061 Mahood Road, West Sunbury, will celebrate the festival of All Saints' Day Sunday with Holy Communion at the worship service. Special recognition will be given to those members who died during the past year, along with those already in the church triumphant.

Prayers will be offered for present-day Christian martyrs and those being persecuted for their faith.

ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN

St. John's Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, 100 Main St., Connoquenessing, will celebrate Holy Communion during the Sunday worship service.

The cause of the month for November is the Salvation Army, Butler Chapter, to help with its Christmas expenses.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

The praise team of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, will meet at 6:30 p.m. today.

All Saints' Day will be celebrated Sunday with Holy Communion at all three services.

The Christian outreach ministry team will lead the 2 p.m. Sunday worship at Elmcroft.

The bell choir will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH

St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., will play bells during all worship services for “All Saints” who passed away this year.

The 3T Quilters will meet at 9 a.m. Monday in the fellowship hall. The Ruth Circle Bible Study will meet in the lounge at 9:30 a.m.

ST. PETER CATHOLIC

A Mass in Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed Souls will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St.

There will be a reception in the parish hall following Mass.

TRINITY LUTHERAN

Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, will celebrate All Saints' Day at worship services this weekend.

There will be a pancake and sausage dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the fellowship hall.

The stewardship ministry and the Christian education ministry will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Because there is contemporary rehearsal at 7 p.m. Wednesday, the chancel choir will practice at 8 p.m. that day.

The women's Bible study will be at 10 a.m. Nov. 5.
