4:58 a.m. Monday — Juanita Marburger, 46, of Butler was hurt when the car she was driving struck a utility pole at West Wayne and Liberty streets. Marburger, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. She was cited for driving with an obstructed windshield, which was covered with ice at the time of the crash.8:21 p.m. Thursday — Victor Forsythe, 57, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his sport utility vehicle hit a Mars woman who was walking in the parking lot on Greenview Drive. Maria Thiel, 54, suffered only minor injuries.9:16 a.m. Wednesday — Kevin Lee Thomas, 46, is accused of assaulting 49-year-old Syrene Irvin during a domestic dispute at their McGeary Street apartment. Thomas is charged with simple assault.

1:25 p.m. Saturday — Ronald Ford, 41, and Kimberly Ford, 53, both of Butler, were arrested for allegedly shoplifting at Wal-Mart in Butler Commons. Both suspects are charged with retail theft.9:52 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Trevor Walker, 20, of Butler spun out on ice on Mercer Road and struck a car driven by Jinzhu Li, 50, of Butler. The road was closed between Links Avenue and Aubrey Drive for more than an hour due to the crash and icy conditions.6:48 p.m. Friday — Vehicles driven by Randy Webb, 40, and Aaron Raybuck, 21, both of Butler, collided at Old Plank and Crosslands roads. Raybuck suffered a minor injury. Webb was cited for a stop sign violation.6:12 p.m. Friday — Two people were injured in a one-car crash on Route 422. The crash happened when Angela George, 21, of Rural Valley, Armstrong County, lost control of the car, which hit an embankment and rolled onto its roof.She and a passenger, Robert George, 25, of Rural Valley, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown facial and head injuries.5:22 p.m. Friday — Frederick Stephens, 46, of Herman was hurt when the sport utility vehicle he was driving rolled over after sliding on an ice patch on Kittanning Street. Stephens had to be extricated from the SUV. He suffered rib injuries.The street was closed for about an hour to allow the township's road department to salt it.7:32 p.m. Wednesday—Vehicles driven by Doug Thompson, 56, and Ryan Melder, 21, both of Butler, collided on Evans City Road near Oakdale Road. Melder was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.Thompson, who suffered an apparently minor injury but declined medical treatment, was cited for driving with a suspended license, careless driving and improperly entering a road.

Saturday — A thief stole about $150 worth of Christmas presents from a vehicle at a home on North Pike Road in Jefferson Township.Nov. 23 — Police charged Daniel K. Hood, 36, no address given, with driving under the influence stemming from a Nov. 13 traffic stop on Route 8 at the Planet Mart in Penn Township.Hood also was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving without a license, disregarding traffic lanes, failure to yield, careless driving and driving an uninspected vehicle.Nov. 18 — Police charged Jessica Charlton, 26, of Evans City with reckless endangerment stemming from a Nov. 11 two-vehicle crash on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Before the crash, Charlton was driving erratically in a car with her 4-year-old daughter, who was not wearing a seat belt or in a child safety seat.Charlton was charged with driving at an unsafe speed, careless driving and six other traffic violations.

3:46 p.m. Friday — A 17-year-old Grove City girl was hurt when she crashed the sport utility vehicle she was driving on McComb Road near Route 173 in Sandy Lake Township.Police did not identify the girl, whose SUV hit a tree then became airborne before rolling onto its roof. The girl, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Grove City Medical Center with minor injuries.

6:35 p.m. Sunday — A sport utility vehicle driven by John S. Reichart, 51, of Butler struck a deer on Route 8 near Dennison Run Road in Irwin Township.
