6:09 p.m. Tuesday — Someone stole two gas cans valued at $50 and stripped the copper from an extension cord valued at $30 and belonging to Claudia Fischer of Butler while the items were outside her Cecelia Street residence between Sept. 15 and Tuesday.4:40 a.m. Sept. 3 — Thomas G. Kabay, 46, of Sarver was charged with DUI controlled substance and careless driving following a traffic stop on East Wayne Street.

7:05 p.m. Friday — Police are searching for the driver of an unknown car, possibly a Subaru, after the vehicle struck and injured a pedestrian along Route 173 near Henderson Road in Worth Township. A police report did not detail how severely Edwin Dixon, 76, of Jackson Center was injured. A black passenger-side mirror belonging to the suspect vehicle was recovered at the scene.
