7:38 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Brooke Donelson, 21, of Butler struck another car parked on Center Avenue. Donelson, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Police cited her for careless driving.10:12 a.m. Thursday — Jennifer Porter of Kittanning reported that someone stole Pennsylvania license plate 433272020 from her vehicle on Main Street.
5:26 p.m. Tuesday — A Freightliner truck driven by Carl Mick, 60, of West Middlesex, Mercer County, struck a tree along Interstate 79 in Worth Township. Mick was cited for a lane violation.Tuesday — Nearly $3,000 in power and hand tools were stolen between 5:30 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday in a burglary at a newly constructed log cabin on Spring Run Road in Center Township. Mertz &Associates Inc. owns the stolen property.Tuesday — An unknown burglar stole siding and windows from an abandoned mobile home and camper on Cemetery Road in Venango Township. Motors and parts were also taken from a garage on the same property.9:10 p.m. Monday — Jonathan Blackwell allegedly stole wire at an undisclosed location on Broadway Avenue in East Butler. Blackwell is charged with theft.3:30 p.m. Jan. 24 — A black, .22-caliber Savage Arms model 501 firearm was found in a wooded area along Christy Road in Franklin Township. The owners can claim the property by calling the barracks at 724-284-8100.Jan. 21 — James Isanogle reported that someone stole a 9 mm Hi-Point C-9 pistol from his Gray Avenue home in Winfield Township. The theft occurred between Dec. 24 and Jan 21.
Thursday — Police reported that three suspects were charged with passing bad checks in separate incidents in Pine Township, Mercer County.Jerry Crocker, 48, of Struthers, Ohio, is accused of bouncing a check for $2,409 at Grove City Chevrolet; Brooke Piurkowsky, 31, of Johnstown is accused of cashing a computer-generated check for $462 at the County Market Store; and Jeffrey Farris II, 18, of Grove City allegedly passed three bad checks totaling $500 at the same County Market store.
