Tuesday — Police filed charges against Alaina Wike, 24, of Petrolia for allegedly using her sister's credit card to make unauthorized purchases.Wike, according to a police report, on May 28 stole her sibling's purse, which had the victim's income tax return check in it. The defendant is accused of loading the check onto the card and spending the money.Wike is charged with access device fraud and theft.

10:22 a.m. Wednesday — John Calvin Williams III, 29, was arrested following a domestic dispute at his South Eberhart Road home. Williams is charged with simple assault and harassment in the case.
