8:14 a.m. July 1 — Jason Shanton Beckwith, 31, of Cranberry Township was charged with attempted burglary and criminal mischief in connection with an attempted break-in at The Colonial Motel on New Castle Road. He is in Butler County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
