11:20 p.m. Tuesday — Jamie Joe Gilbert, 42, of New Castle was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 in Franklin Township.Tuesday — A Center Township woman reported a case of theft in which she gave $15,000 to contractor for a home repair project that was never done. The woman said the contractor, who police did not identify, told her that he is not going to complete the job at her home on Red Dog Road, and has not reimbursed her any of the $15,000. Police said the investigation continues.Tuesday — Someone stole the electrical boxes, which contained copper wiring, of several mobile homes at Riverview Homes Inc., New Castle Road in Franklin Township. The thefts occurred between Aug. 13 and Tuesday.9:40 a.m. Monday — A Mack truck driven by Joseph Harrison Jr., 34, of Meadville, Crawford County, struck the rear of a car on Interstate 79 near Route 108 in Worth Township. Edward Palmese Jr., 22, of Pittsburgh, who was driving the car, was treated at Grove City Medical Hospital for moderate injuries.Harrison was cited for following too closely to another vehicle.Monday — A motorcycle helmet was stolen from the trunk of a car at the Wheels of Work parking lot in Forward Township. Ariane Baier of Butler, who owns the car, told police the theft occurred between May 28 and Monday.

6:15 a.m. Saturday —. A 14-year-old Rimersburg boy was hurt when the lawn tractor he was driving crashed and rolled over on Walker Farm Road in Toby Township. Police said the boy, who suffered a minor injury, was cited for careless driving.

4:13 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Robin J. Bowser, no age given, of Sandy Lake and a van driven by Jared Heckman, no age given, of Stoneboro collided at Route 173 and Jones Lane in Sandy Lake Township. Bowser was treated for moderate injuries at Grove City Medical Center, police said.Monday — Five brass flower vases were stolen between 4 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday from Crestview Memorial Park in Pine Township.
