Thursday — Police reported that a black, steel bucket from a front-end loader was stolen along railroad tracks near Windy Road in Cherry Township. Owner Dennis Kuzar of Patton, Centre County, does not know when the property was taken.Wednesday — Sherri McKissick reported that someone stole two rings and $80 from her Davis Road home in Oakland Township. The theft occurred between Oct. 2 and Wednesday.Wednesday — An unknown vehicle between 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday struck two mailboxes along Saxonburg Boulevard in Clinton Township.Wednesday — An unknown vandal between 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30 a.m. Wednesday damaged a stop sign at Bull Creek and West Jefferson roads in Jefferson Township.4:43 p.m. Tuesday — James M. Hynes, 60, a convicted felon, is accused of illegally possessing a gun at his Stanford Road home in Muddy Creek Township. He was arrested and placed in the Butler County Prison for a state parole violation.Monday — Police charged Devin P. Milliken, 24, of Worthington, Armstrong County, stemming from an arrest for drunken driving at 11:30 p.m. Sept. 23 on Redwood Road in Fairview Township. Milliken is charged in the case with driving under the influence and careless driving.
8:55 a.m. Wednesday — Three people were hurt when a car driven by Edgar Cerezo, 36, of Butler struck the rear of another car at Route 108 and Cleland Mill Road in North Beaver Township.Cerezo and the other driver, David Kusnierczyk II, 19, of New Castle, as well as a passenger in Kusnierczyk's car, David Kusnierczyk, 46, of New Castle, all were treated at Jameson Hospital in New Castle for minor injuries. Police said Cerezo was cited for following too closely to another vehicle.
