4 p.m. Sunday — Arthur Wayne Farr, 29, of Chicora is accused of stealing items from a vehicle on Main Street in front of the Veterans of Foreign Wars home in Chicora.The vehicle owner, a 62-year-old Chicora man, confronted the suspect, who fled. Police later arrested Farr in woods near Cherry Road in Fairview Township.Farr faces charges of theft, receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on several warrants, police said.7:05 a.m. Sunday — Pickup trucks driven by Robert E. Logue, 80, of Fombell, Beaver County, and Louis H. Zimmerman Jr., 39, of Renfrew collided on Route 488 near Brenneman Road in Portersville.Both drivers suffered minor injuries. Police said Logue was cited for failure to yield.Sunday — A wallet was found on Portman Road in Summit Township. The owner of the wallet, which contained credit cards, can claim the property at the state police barracks in Butler Township.8:59 p.m. Friday — Craig L. Gaiser, 48, of Chicora was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Hicky Bottom Road in Clearfield Township.Thursday — An unknown vandal threw a smoke bomb into a vehicle on Main Street in Connoquenessing between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday. The smoke bomb damaged the passenger compartment of the vehicle, owned by a 62-year-old Connoquenessing man.June 15 — Someone stole a green, 2001 Kawasaki KX100 motorcycle that was chained to a utility pole in front of the owner's New Castle Road home in Slippery Rock Township. The unknown thief cut the chain to steal the bike between 9 p.m. June 14 and 4 a.m. June 15.June 12 — A large amount of food and soft drinks were stolen from the concession stands in a burglary June 11 or 12 at the North Washington Little League fields behind the Snowmobile Club on Old Brick Road in Washington Township.

6:30 a.m. Saturday — A Springfield Township man was arrested for allegedly firing a round from a sawed-off shotgun over the head of his girlfriend during a domestic dispute at their Veterans Road home. No one was reported injured.The suspect, Carl Theodore Stiffy IV, 27, was arraigned on charges of reckless endangerment, terroristic threats and simple assault, and placed in the Mercer County Jail on $7,500 bond.Friday — An unknown thief stole unspecified property worth $135 after smashing out a window and breaking into a vehicle on Brent Road in Springfield Township. The vehicle sustained about $150 in damage.Friday — Nothing was taken in a pair of overnight vehicle break-ins on Butler Pike Road in Liberty Township.
