8:50 p.m. Sunday — Donald E. Vargo, 35, of Connoquenessing Township is accused of walking into another man's apartment on South Main Street, suspecting that his girlfriend was there. The tenant, who was outside cooking on the grill, repeatedly told Vargo to leave but he wouldn't, according to a police report.The suspect, who kept asking the whereabouts of his girlfriend, eventually left but not before looking through the apartment. Police obtained a warrant for Vargo's arrest on a charge of trespass.12:39 p.m. July 6 — Cars driven by Amy Baptiste, 21, of Butler and Keith D. Scott, 45, of East Butler collided at East Jefferson and Franklin streets. Baptiste suffered a minor injury.
10:47 p.m. Thursday — Karl Scott Slaughenhoupt, 24, of Petrolia was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his pickup truck struck a utility pole and a parked vehicle along Hooker Road in Fairview Township.The crash, a police report said, "completely uprooted" the pole, which fell on the road and blocked both lanes. Slaughenhoupt, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.Thursday — A set of Kicker brand speakers and an amplifier were stolen from a garage in a burglary at a Mahood Road home in Clay Township. The break-in occurred between 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday.7:10 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Chelsea D. Hartle, 19, of Harmony struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. Sean Harris, 18, of Pittsburgh, a passenger in the car, suffered a minor injury. Police said Hartle was cited for careless driving.11:32 a.m. Wednesday — Andrea L. Jay, 37, of Evans City was seriously injured when the car she was driving hit a guardrail and rolled onto its roof on Brownsdale Road near Tunnel Road in Forward Township. Jay, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.Tuesday — A handgun was stolen in a burglary between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. at a Kiester Road home in Cherry Township.2 a.m. July 4 — Katie Jo Kildoo, 28, of Saxonburg was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Herman and Bonniebrook roads in Summit Township.
1:40 p.m. Sunday — Two people were hurt when a farm tractor driven by Michael Polkabla, 51, and a car driven by Christopher A. Geibel, 21, both of Grove City collided on Cranberry Road near Interstate 80 in Pine Township. Both drivers were treated at Grove City Medical Center for minor to moderate injuries.5:33 p.m. Thursday — A pickup driven by Roland Clemence, 63, of Fort Mill, S.C., traveled into the median, hit a guardrail and rolled over on Interstate 79 in Springfield Township. Clemence and a passenger, Sharon Peters, 63, also of Fort Mill, suffered minor injuries. Police said the driver was cited for a lane violation.
