6:45 a.m. Tuesday — Vehicles driven by Ian McKissick, 19, and Laurie Trimbur, 45, both of Butler, collided at Benbrook and Bryson roads. Trimbur was cited for a stop sign violation.11:12 a.m. Monday — A vehicle driven by Richard Brown, 53, of Mineral Ridge, Ohio, rear-ended another vehicle, driven by Stephen Shimko, 36, of Butler, on Route 422 in the construction area near the Lyndora exchange. The collision pushed Shimko's vehicle into a vehicle driven by Michael Klein, 50, of Karns City.
4:10 p.m. Tuesday — Meredith L. McIntire, 18, of Slippery Rock was hurt when she lost control of her car and it crashed into a tree along Miller Road near Arrowhead Drive in Slippery Rock Township. McIntire, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Grove City Medical Center with moderate injuries. She was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
1:25 a.m. Aug. 16 — Jeffrey Keith Noel, 51, of Grove City was arrested for driving under the influence on North Broad Street in Grove City. Police also cited Noel for careless driving, following too closely to another vehicle and not wearing a seat belt.
1:56 a.m. Tuesday — An unknown man is being sought for assaulting another man outside the victim's Old State Route 422 home in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.Charles Henry Peak told police the suspect, a white man in his 30s, was seen prowling around Peak's house, about one-quarter mile east of Mill Bridge Road.The suspect is 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a thin build. He has short hair and is clean shaven.Peak said when he confronted the man, the suspect pushed him against the suspect's car, breaking the driver's window. Peak suffered a small cut on his left arm. The suspect drove away in his car, described only as a white sedan.Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police at 724-598-2211.
