12:21 a.m. Tuesday — Mark Allen Watt, 36, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on West Brady Street. A police report noted there were three young children in his car when Watt was stopped.In addition to DUI, police cited Watt for a pair of child safety seat violations and driving with a burned out rear brake light.

2:10 p.m. Tuesday — A suspected shoplifter was arrested after police stopped her attempted getaway and found her with drugs in Springfield Township.The suspect, Chrissy Wortman, 28, of Warren, Ohio, is accused of stealing T-shirts at the Ecko Ltd. store at Prime Outlets. She fled in a car but was stopped a short time later on Intestate 80.Police said Wortman allegedly gave troopers a bogus name and later tried to hide drugs in the rear seat of the police cruiser she was placed in to be taken to jail.She was arraigned on charges of false identification to law enforcement authorities, possession of a controlled substance and retail theft, and placed in the Mercer County Jail on $10,000 bail.12:18 p.m. Tuesday — Two 17-year-old boys were caught several hours after escaping from the George Junior Republic juvenile detention facility in Pine Township.
