10:46 p.m. Tuesday — Jose R. Gonzalez, 42, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his 17-year-old son during a domestic dispute at the family's South Street home. Gonzalez was arraigned on a charge of simple assault and placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,000 bail.

6 a.m. Monday — A minivan driven by Nathaniel K. Fedor, 23, of Slippery Rock struck a utility pole along Route 173 near Old Mill Site Road in Liberty Township. Fedor was cited for careless driving.9:50 a.m. Sunday — Two people were hurt when a sport utility vehicle driven by Jodi M. Garvin, 34, of Grove City hit a ditch and spun into a tree trunk along Centertown Road near Route 208 in Pine Township. Garvin and a passenger, a 12-year-old girl who police did not identify, were taken to the Grove City Medical Center with minor injuries.6:55 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Nicholas Martin, 19, of Ridgway slammed into a ditch and rolled two times before stopping on its roof on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township. Martin was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.7:05 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Amber L. Matthews, 20, of Volant skidded on ice and struck a snow plow on Route 208 near Oak Hill Lane in Springfield Township. Randall Carbone, 49, of New Castle was driving the PennDOT snow plow.1:58 p.m. Saturday — An SUV driven by Nicole Heckathorn, 19, of Volant crashed over an embankment and into a tree along Route 258 in Liberty Township. Heckathorn was cited for a lane violation.12:15 p.m. Feb. 25 — An unknown robber snatched the purse off the arm of a Youngstown, Ohio, woman at Prime Outlets near the Country Clutter Store in Springfield Township.Police said a bystander yelled, apparently causing the suspect — a tall, white man in his mid-20s — to drop the purse. The purse was recovered but the woman's cell phone was missing. She was not injured.1:36 p.m. Feb. 21 — A car driven by Daniel F. Christiana, 50, of Slippery Rock struck the side of a tractor-trailer on I-80 in Findley Township. Christiana was cited for a lane violation. Marc Evans, 51, of El Paso, Texas, was driving the rig.
