March 23 — Police filed drugged driving and other charges against Zachary B. Yeager, 18, of Forward Township stemming from a March 18 traffic stop on Kline Avenue in the borough.Police said they pulled over Yeager's car about 8:40 p.m. for a speeding violation and a exhaust system violation. When an officer got to the suspect's car, he smelled what he thought was burned marijuana coming from the car.A search of the car allegedly turned up suspected marijuana and other drug contraband.Yeager was given a blood test that showed "a very high amount of marijuana" in his system, according to a police report.He is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and three traffic offenses.

Tuesday — Police reported they are investigating the vandalism of snow removal equipment in the Clearview Mall parking lot near Giant Eagle in Center Township. The property, owned by Wiest Asphalt, was damaged between Feb. 15 and 18. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.2:20 a.m. Sunday — Shawn Mohan, 37, of Cabot was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 356 and Winfield Road in Winfield Township.March 24 — Police charged Marguerite S. Smolak, 40, of Niles, Ohio, with stealing two electronic fobs with keys to a Mazda CX-7. The suspected theft occurred in November at the Manheim Auto Auction lot on Route 19 in Cranberry Township.The state police Auto Theft Task Force charged Smolak with first-degree misdemeanor theft. A preliminary hearing is set for April 9.

2 p.m. March 19 — Harold Steele Jr., 39, of Grove City was arrested for allegedly assaulting a 20-year-old Grove City woman during a domestic dispute at a home in Liberty Township. Steele is charged with simple assault and harassment. He is free on $10,000 unsecured bond.
