Live symphony concerts canceled
Butler County Symphony officials have announced that because of continued issues surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, the live concert performances scheduled for February, March, April and May have been canceled.
The symphony plans to conduct virtual events in the spring, including an education program, strings program, woodwind quintet and a brass quintet through the generosity of patrons, donors and sponsors.
Those programs will be free in pursuit of the symphony’s 73-year mission to provide music to the community, and in light of the trials faced by many during the pandemic.
Symphony officials are suggesting patrons donate the value of their 2020-21 concert tickets to offset the expense of the spring programs and to ensure the symphony returns stronger than ever when the pandemic is no longer an issue.
