2:01 a.m. Wednesday — Two teenage girls were uninjured after the sport utility vehicle they were riding in hit a tree along Litman Road.The 17-year-old driver, a Fenelton girl who police did not identify, lost control of the 2003 Jeep Liberty and traveled about 180 feet off the road just west of Old Plank Road before hitting the tree.The SUV traveled between a utility pole and its guide wire, struck a guardrail and became airborne, landing over a large culvert at a small stream.The 17-year-old was cited for careless driving and a junior driver's license violation. Police did not identify the SUV's passenger, a 16-year-old Butler girl.8:20 p.m. Tuesday — Johnnie R. Hogston, 40, of Butler was arrested for violating a Lyndora woman's protection from abuse order. Hogston was arraigned for the PFA violation, and placed in Butler County Prison on $7,500 bail.
Tuesday — An air compressor, eight cases of Pepsi, tools and scrap metal were stolen between 9 p.m. Monday and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in a burglary at a home on Kaiser Road in Clearfield Township.
6:04 p.m. Wednesday — A 78-year-old Parker man was taken to Clarion Hospital with minor injuries he suffered when the pickup truck he was driving crashed into an embankment and rolled onto its side on Route 38 near Squaw Valley Road in Emlenton. The man, who police did not identify, was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
