Thursday — An unknown vandal damaged a cyclone gate at a home in the 200 block of McClain Avenue. The gate was broken from its hinges sometime between Monday and Thursday. Damage is estimated at $200.

9:59 p.m. Wednesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Drew Miller, 22, of Butler and a car driven by Donald Hunt, 54, of Slippery Rock collided at Chesapeake Street and Whitestown Road.Wednesday — Two bicycles at Schramm Lane and Bullcreek Road were stolen between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. The bikes are a blue, 21-speed Mongoose and a chrome, Huffy BMX.2:39 p.m. Tuesday — Marc-Anthony Hattaway, 20, of Butler was caught with suspected marijuana after police got a call for a man with a handgun walking on Route 68 near the Army Reserve Center.The gun, that Hattaway was concealing, turned out to be a BB gun. He is charged with disorderly conduct and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Wednesday — Chad C. Hollingsworth, 21, was arrested after allegedly punching Willis Hollingsworth in the face during a domestic dispute at the family home on Woodhaven Drive in Seven Fields.The altercation left Willis Hollingsworth, age unknown, with a small cut on his left cheek. Court documents did not identify the relationship between the pair.District Judge Sue Haggerty arraigned Chad Hollingsworth on charges of simple assault and harassment. He was sent to Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail, following arraignment.

10:41 a.m. Saturday — Two people were hurt when vehicles driven by Katherine A. McCormick, 66, of Portersville and Andrew Rice, 50, of New Castle collided at Route 42 and Old Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. Rice and an 8 year-old New Castle girl riding in her car were taken to Jameson Hospital in New Castle with minor injuries.
