5:03 p.m. Tuesday — Tyler A. Irvine, 27, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, 28-year-old Amanda Sosa, during a domestic dispute at the couple's West Jefferson Street apartment. Irvine was arraigned on a charge of simple assault and placed in Butler County Prison on $2,500 bail.Butler Twp Police8:30 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Michael Gonlin, 18, of Butler struck an embankment after sliding off snow-covered Route 8 South near the Comfort Inn. Police said Gonlin faces a ticket for driving too fast for conditions.

11:41 a.m. Tuesday — Cars driven by Adam L. Fair, 22, of Butler and Dawn M. Gibson, 64, of Petrolia collided on Route 68 near Shearer Road in Oakland Township. Gibson, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. A police report noted that the road was “completely snow and ice covered due to high blowing winds.”10:25 p.m. Monday — A pickup truck driven by Richard E. Kienzle, 58, of Butler spun out on snow and struck several traffic signs on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. The pickup rolled over and ended on its wheels over a drainage ditch. Police said Kienzle faces a ticket for driving at an unsafe speed.7:50 p.m. Monday — Wayne S. Sailar, 34, of Sharon, who was wanted by Ohio authorities, was arrested on New Castle Road in Muddy Creek Township. He was placed in Butler County Prison on the warrant issued out of Trumbull County. The warrant, police said, was for drug possession.11:10 a.m. Monday — A car driven by Scott P. Wetzel, 24, of Saxonburg struck the rear of a state police cruiser on Main Street in Butler, near the intersection with Jefferson Street. Cpl. Robert J. Donaldson, 41, of Butler was driving the cruiser. No one was hurt. Police said Wetzel was cited for following too closely to another vehicle.8 p.m. Sunday — Matthew D. Mullen, 26, of Chicora suffered serious injuries when five unknown people jumped him from behind and assaulted him in the Kwik Fill parking lot on Franklin Street in Slippery Rock.Police are asking anyone with information about the case to call the barracks at 724-284-8100.12:16 a.m. Saturday — Dewayne A. McFadden, 21, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 8 near Caravan Lane in Center Township.

3 a.m. Saturday — A 25-year-old Boyers man and a 22-year-old Parker woman are suspected of hitting a 27-year-old Parker man in the head and face several times on Terwilliger Road in Perry Township. Police did not identify the suspects, who drove away after the alleged assault, or the victim, who suffered minor injuries.12:20 a.m. Saturday — Connell P. Stitt, 44, of Parker was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car went off Blairs Corners Road and got struck in the snow in Beaver Township.
