9:56 a.m. Wednesday — Cars driven by Rebecca Ann Elliott, 50, of Chicora and Thomas Slagle, 56, of Bruin collided at Chestnut and Slagle streets.Tuesday — An unknown thief sometime during the day stole six car batteries from outside a garage on Carbon Street.

3:50 a.m. March 12 — Brady L. Morgan, 21, of Petrolia was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car crashed into an embankment on Old Brick Road in Washington Township. Morgan suffered minor injuries.

10:45 a.m. Wednesday — Keena A. Kightlinger, 21, of Rimersburg was hurt when the car she was driving struck a tree and rolled over at least two times on Canoe Ripple Road near Whitmer Road in Licking Township.Kightlinger, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Clarion Hospital with minor injuries. Police said she was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.Wednesday — An unknown burglar stole unspecified items from Keene Scrap Metal on Route 368 in Perry Township. The burglary occurred between 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and 7:45 a.m. Wednesday. Police estimate damage to the building and the loss of property totaled $1,100.

8:45 p.m. Saturday — An unknown man and woman made off with several shopping bags full of children's clothing they stole from the Gap Kids Outlet store at Prime Outlets in Springfield Township. The theft was caught on store surveillance video.The suspects are both black and about 30 years old. The man is about 6 feet tall with a medium build. He wore a blue shirt and jeans. The woman is about 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a heavy build. She was wearing a blue sweat suit.

Monday — Scrap metal was reported stolen from McClymonds Trucking on Currie Road in Muddy Creek Township, Butler County. The theft happened between March 14 and Monday.
