6:45 a.m. Wednesday — Mark W. Holmes Jr., 25, of Butler was arrested after allegedly throwing a large set of keys at Corrie G. Hodak during a domestic dispute at North Chestnut and West Brady streets. The keys hit the back of Hodak's head, causing bleeding and swelling, according to court documents. Holmes is charged with simple assault.
5:45 p.m. Tuesday — Two students, 14 and 15 years old, were cited for disorderly conduct after fighting at the Butler Intermediate High School.
8:15 a.m. Tuesday — Cars driven by Patrick L. Martin, 56, of Medina, Ohio, and Todd S. Kobert, 30, of Butler collided at Route 8 and Shields Road in Mercer Township. Police said Martin was cited for a stop sign violation.7 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Daniel L. Baucom, 57, of Parker struck a vehicle parked in a driveway and crashed into a utility pole along Route 268 in Parker Township. Police said Baucom was cited for careless driving.April 3 —Two pieces of 3-inch diameter copper pipe — one 3 feet long and the other 4 feet long — were stolen from a home in the 100 block of West Liberty Road in Brady Township. The theft happened between March 20 and April 3.
10:50 p.m. Wednesday — A Pittsburgh man was caught hiding a horse tranquilizer in his pants and a 17-year-old Elk County boy was found with suspected marijuana, following a traffic stop on Route 28 at Exit 18 in South Buffalo Township.Police said Mark Devinney, 30, tried to conceal the tranquilizer ketamine; however, when it fell out of his pants he attempted to stomp it into the cement.The St. Mary’s boy, meanwhile, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance. He and Devinney also face drug-related charges.
