Butler Police4:49 p.m. Friday — A car owned by Lillian Moore of Butler was struck by a hit-and-run driver while parked along the 200 block of East Birch Street sometime in the past month.

State Police, ButlerThursday — Someone broke into M.D. Sarvey Heating and Plumbing along Main Street in Prospect, stealing about 100 pounds of scrap copper pipe and fittings, as well as various sizes of flexible copper tubing, valued at a total of $1,300 between Wednesday and Thursday. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.

State Police, Kittanning7:24 p.m. Wednesday — Jason Haslett, 38, of New Kensington, Westmoreland County, was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 28 in South Buffalo Township. Police said Haslett was stopped after an apparent case of road rage that began in Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County.Troopers clocked both vehicles suspected in the road rage incident at speeds of from 80 to 100 mph. Police did not identify the other driver, from Worthington, who was involved in the earlier altercation.
