7:50 a.m. Tuesday — Cars driven by Patricia Martin, 73, of Renfrew and Keith Marshall, 24, of Butler collided on McCalmont Road at Hazelcrest Lane. Meridian volunteer firefighters assisted police at the scene.2:22 p.m. Monday — Daniel M. Schiebel, 50, of Chicora was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at the Butler Intermediate High School parking lot. Witnesses reported they saw Schiebel get out of his pickup truck and stumble around in the student/faculty parking lot.Schiebel told officers that he drove to the school to pick up his daughter.
3:45 a.m. Wednesday — Samuel M. Grossman, 28, of Harrisville was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car collided with a pickup truck on George Junior Road just west of Route 173 in Pine Township. Grossman and Jason P. Rankin, 32, of Oil City, who was driving the pickup, suffered minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts,8:29 p.m. Monday — Jonathan Smith, 24, of Jackson Center was hurt when the car he was driving struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Springfield Township. Smith, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.Oct. 23 — A laptop computer was stolen from the Millbrook Grange in Wolf Creek Township. The computer was taken as its owner was serving as the DJ at a Halloween party there.
