Butler Police1:05 a.m. Thursday — Two men in dark clothing were seen fleeing the scene after someone allegedly slashed three tires on a vehicle owned by Jay A. Kirkpatrick of Butler while the vehicle was parked along Cleveland Street. Damage is estimated at about $300.9:22 p.m. Wednesday — Park D. Lutton Jr., 36, of Butler was charged with terroristic threats and simple assault after police responded to a domestic dispute call at 201 N. Elm St. Ashley Hale of Evans City, who suffered minor injuries, told police that Lutton had pushed her to the ground several times and attempted to drag her into the house during an argument.7:30 p.m. Oct. 15 — An SUV owned by Kimberly Hughes of Butler was struck by a hit-and-run driver in the Elks Club lot along Kaufman Drive. The other car was a small, silver four-door hatchback. Anyone with information should call police at 724-287-7743.
Butler Township Police9:18 p.m. Tuesday — Cheino Allen, 20, of Detroit and Lorese Talley, 30, of Farrell, Pa., each were charged with receiving stolen property, criminal conspiracy, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in which the pair were in a stolen vehicle. Talley also was charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance.Grove City PoliceTuesday — A black leather CD case with about 30 CDs in it was found near the intersection of South Center and West Pine streets. To claim it, contact the Grove City Police Department at 724-458-7925.State Police, Kittanning11 p.m. Oct. 9 — Someone stole a small fire safe from the bedroom of a residence along Route 268 in Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County. The safe, owned by Irwin and Janice Lavan of Chicora, contained personal information for four members of the Lavan family, as well as about $25 in U.S. Savings Bonds. Anyone with information should call police at 724-543-2011.State Police, Franklin8:10 p.m. Sunday — A van driven by Maravelli J. Ammie, 41, of New Castle struck a deer on Interstate 80 in Barkeyville, Venango County.
