3 a.m. Thursday — Someone stole 150 gallons of fuel from a vehicle belonging to Damon McComas of Butler while the vehicle was parked at a rest area along Interstate 80 in Irwin Township, Venango County.
Dec. 13 — State police are investigating Indianapolis-based Keystone Construction after two homeowners, one along Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township, Butler County, and one along Old Princeton Road in Shenango Township, Lawrence County, alleged they had been scammed by the company. According to state police, the owner of Keystone Construction, in both cases, allegedly claimed he had extra asphalt and could pave the owner's driveway for a low price, then said the cost of the paving job was significantly higher once work had begun.9 a.m. Dec. 12 — Someone stole a pony belonging to Larry Hobel of Ellwood City from a yard along Maddlin Drive in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County, between 12:30 p.m. Dec. 11 and 9 a.m. Dec. 12. The pony is described as being black with white legs and a white mark on its nose.
