9:30 p.m. Thursday — Cars driven by Amber Thompson, 21, of Renfrew and Michael Sheptak Jr., 67, of Butler Township collided broadside at West New Castle and Mercer streets. Sheptak, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.

7:19 p.m. Wednesday — Two women were hurt in a two-car wreck at Route 356 and Hindman Road. The crash happened when a car driven by Nancy Skidmore, 68, and a minivan driven by Diane Spiece, 54, both of Butler, collided.Spiece and her passenger, Madelyn Lavorini, 78, of Portersville, suffered minor injuries.

5:19 p.m. Dec. 19 — A Butler County woman was more than five times the legal limit for alcohol when she was arrested for drunken driving.Police said they found Brady Jo Hundley, 38, of Slippery Rock slumped over her car's steering wheel at Spring and Rebecca streets. According to witnesses, the police report said, Hundley had been there for about 20 minutes.Her blood-alcohol level topped 0.40 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.She is charged with driving under the influence.
