Butler Twp Police

8:15 a. m. Thursday — A 16-year-old boy faces criminal charges after he allegedly attacked a girl at Butler Intermediate School. The boy, according to a police report, hit and kicked the girl several times in the groin area, causing unspecified injuries.

The suspect, who police did not identify, is charged in juvenile court with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.

Today — Police announced they are seeking the whereabouts of a reported runaway boy who was last seen at 6 p.m. Tuesday at his home on Douglas Road in Prospect. Sixteen-year-old Jordan R. Zulick is described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 120 pounds, with sandy brown hair and brown eyes.

The teen, at the time he left his home Tuesday evening, was wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt, dark blue jeans and gray/tan canvass shoes.

Anyone with information about the boy is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.

7:12 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by David F. McWade, 42, of Pittsburgh struck a deer on Interstate 79 just north of Ehrman Road in Cranberry Township.

1:25 a.m. Wednesday — Lucas L. Gardner, 30, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Route 19 in Lancaster Township.

7:30 p.m. Sunday — Carl Renshaw of Butler told police that someone hit him in the face as he cleaned a van in the parking lot of a halfway house on Schiebel Road in Clearfield Township.

Moments before the assault, the unknown suspect approached the 44-year-old victim and asked him if he worked at the halfway house, according to a police report.

When Renshaw replied that he did, the suspect struck him. As the suspect hit Renshaw he told the victim to “give this message to (the facility owner),” the report said.

State Police, Clarion

Wednesday — Police said a 24-year-old Rimersburg woman is suspected of having sex with a 15-year-old Fryburg boy at an undisclosed hotel in Monroe Township. Police said their investigation continues, and they did not identify the suspect.

March 27 — An unknown thief stole a 44-year-old Emlenton man’s dog from Route 58 in Richland Township. The theft happened between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

State Police, Mercer

3:15 a.m. Friday — Anthony M. Ruffo, 19, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car struck a drainage ditch and culvert along Enterprise Road in Pine Township. Police said that in addition to DUI, Ruffo faces charges of underage drinking and unspecified traffic violations.
