4:38 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Ellen J. Mahler, 21, of East Brady, Clarion County, rear-ended another car at East Jefferson and First streets. Jessica Jacobs, 30, of Jefferson Township was the other driver.
Monday — Three people were arrested for driving under the influence during a Labor Day enforcement detail in the county.In all, 55 vehicles were stopped. Along with the DUI arrests, officers issued 26 traffic tickets, cited two people for underage drinking and one person each for underage drinking and disorderly conduct.Additionally, task force officers also assisted other police responding to calls for a large bar fight and a domestic dispute.
12:04 p.m. Wednesday — Andrea P. Kelly, 44, of Saxonburg was hurt when the car she was driving struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof on Spring Valley Road, just east of Kozy Corner Road in Clinton Township. The crash happened, a police report said, when Kelly swerved her car to avoid a deer in the road. She was wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries.5:37 a.m. Wednesday — Michael G. Crawford, 40, of Harrisville was hurt when he swerved his sport utility vehicle to avoid an oncoming car and traveled up an embankment on Route 8 at Franklin Road in Slippery Rock Township. Crawford, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.The other driver, James H. McShane, 31, of Slippery Rock, was cited for a stop sign violation, a police report said.Sunday — An unknown vandal damaged a mailbox in the 200 block of Jamisonville Road in Center Township. The vandalism happened between 4 a.m. and noon.
7:19 p.m. Tuesday — A pickup truck driven by Matthew D. Rottman, 40, of East Brady struck a utility pole along Kelly’s Way at Third Street in East Brady. Police said Rottman was cited for careless driving.6:13 p.m. Tuesday — Cars driven by Laura D. Wensel, 22, of Limestone and Joshua W. Chandler, 27, of New Bethlehem collided on Route 68, just south of Walker Farm Road in Toby Township. A passenger in Chandler’s car, who police did not identify, suffered a minor injury. Police said Wensel was cited for making an improper turn.
