Maletta 50th anniversary
Jim and Viola "Connie" Maletta of Center Township celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a dinner given by their children for family and friends at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church Hall.
The former Viola Convery married Maletta on June 18, 1956, at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
They have four children, James Maletta of West Allis, Wis.; Judy Jones of Allen, Texas; and John Maletta and Joseph Maletta, both of Pittsburgh.
They also have six grandchildren.
Maletta is retired from Butler City Fire Department, where he served as fire captain.Mrs. Maletta is a homemaker.The couple is active at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church and The People of God Community. They enjoy reading and traveling, having visited every state in the U.S. and every province in Canada.
