The Carsons in 1956

David and Joyce Carson of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage Friday. Afamily outing is being planned later in the summer.

The former Joyce Pape married Carson on June 30, 1956, at Fenelton United Methodist Church.

They have four children, Barbara Couch of Chicora; Davette Carson and Dorothy Cyprian, both of Butler; and Jacqueline Regal of Portersville. Ason, David Carson Jr., is deceased.

They also have eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Carson retired from Armco in Butler after 35 years. He enjoys sports.Mrs. Carson is a homemaker. She enjoys gospel music.The couple belongs to Fenelton United Methodist Church. They enjoy participating in church activities and reading.
