Charles and Betty Bopp of Butler celebrated 40 years of marriage recently with a family picnic hosted by their sons at Alameda Park. A trip to Hawaii is planned in December.

The former Betty Snyder married Bopp on July 2, 1966, at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

They have three children, John Bopp of Pittsburgh, Jeffrey Bopp of Fayetteville and Scott Bopp of Butler.

They also have three grandchildren.

Bopp is employed by Marmon/Keystone.

Mrs. Bopp is an employee of the Boy Scouts of America, Moraine Trails Council. She belongs to St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
