The Wahls in 1956

Dr. Dayne and Shirley Wahl of Zelienople celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a picnic for family and friends, hosted by the couple's children.

The former Shirley Nulph married Wahl on Aug. 25, 1956, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Evans City.

They have four children, Dr. Jeffry Wahl of Harmony, Susan Krysinski of Zelienople, Dr. Michael Wahl of Renfrew and Ann Pagel of New Bern, N.C.

They also have 13 grandchildren.

Wahl is retired a retired physician.Mrs. Wahl is also retired from working as a receptionist at her husband's practice. She enjoys sewing and photography.The couple enjoys big game hunting and traveling.
