John and Helen Davis

John and Helen Davis of Slippery Rock celebrated 70 years of marriage recently with a family dinner.

The former Helen Lapinsky married Davis on July 30, 1936.

They have two children, Sally Davis of Euclid, Ohio, and John Davis, formerly of Butler.

Davis is the former owner of Wholesale Plumbing and Heating Supply in Butler. He is a member of the Scottish Rite, New Castle Consistory and the United Association of Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 47.

Mrs. Davis is a former Welcome Wagon Hostess for Slippery Rock. She is a member of the Grove City Order of the Eastern Star, the White Shrine and the Slippery Rock Women's Club.

The couple belongs to Center United Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock.
