Frank and Esther Gillis

Frank and Esther Gillis of Butler Township celebrated 65 years of marriage recently.

The former Esther Cain married Gillis July 31, 1941, at Meridian United Presbyterian Church.

They have two children, Frank Gillis and Ronald Gillis, both of Butler. Adaughter, Esther Doutt, is deceased.

They also have five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.

Gillis is retired. He is a former truck driver and greenhouse owner. A veteran of World War II, he is a member of the Meridian Veterans Club.

Mrs. Gillis belongs to the Meridian Fire Company Auxiliary.

The couple belongs to Meridian United Presbyterian Church and the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
