The Deals in 1956

Ervin and Georgia Deal of East Butler will celebrate 50 years of marriage Aug. 11 with a reception hosted by their children.

The former Georgia Logan married Deal on Aug. 4, 1956, at the home of R.L. Throne of Butler.

They have seven children: Mrs. Devin (Cindy) Thomas of New Castle, Mrs. William (Patty) Shuler of Butler, Mrs. Doug (Blanche) Mentzer of East Butler, Gerry Deal of East Butler, Ervin Deal II of Worthington, Eric Deal of Butler and Ben Deal of East Butler.

The also have 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.Mr. Deal worked for Pullman Standard and was a security guard and painter.Mrs. Deal is a homemaker.
