Bly 50th anniversary
Dean and Dorothy Bly of Lewes, Del., formerly of Chicora, will celebrate 50 years of marriage Aug. 12 with a family dinner at the Saxonburg Hotel.
The former Dorothy Dunlap married Bly on Aug. 11, 1956, at St. John's Reformed Church in Chicora.
They have two children: Cheryl Brown of Butler and Glenn Bly of Washington, D.C.
They also have three grandchildren.
Mr. Bly is retired from Penreco in Karns City, where he worked for 43 years. He belongs to the Argyle Lodge No. 540, the F&AM, Chicora Scottish Rite Bodies in the Valley of New Castle and the Syria Shriners of Pittsburgh. He also belongs to the Butler Chapter 456 of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Bly is a homemaker and is retired from her job as a secretary for realtor Ed Shields. She is a member of the Butler Chapter 45 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She volunteers at the Beebe Medical Center in Lewes.
The Blys are members of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Rehoboth Beach, Del.
