Fred and Sheila Berns of Butler celebrated 40 years of marriage recently.

The former Sheila Corbett married Berns Sept. 10, 1966, at St. Anne Roman Catholic Church in Castle Shannon.

They have three children, Wendy Berns and Barb Sarvey, both of Butler, and Glen Berns of Shaler.

They also have three grandchildren.

The Bernses are retired. They enjoy crafts, traveling, watching movies and watching Steelers games. They also volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

The couple belongs to St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church.
