The Hillards in 1956

Wally and Peggy Hillard of Butler will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a dinner party for family and friends at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 7 at Creative Catering in Butler.

The former Peggy Gibson married Hillard on Oct. 25, 1956, at Karns City United Methodist Church.

They have three children, Marcia Hillard of Glen Allen, Va., Mary Beilstein of Butler and Michele Carlson of Webster, N.Y.

They also have 12 grandchildren.

Hillard is a retired Armco welder. He belongs to the East Butler Hunting and Fishing Club, Summit Sportsman's Club and the Pennsylvania Game Commission.Mrs. Hillard is retired from the Servistar Print Shop.The couple belongs to First United Methodist Church in Butler.
