James 'Bud'and Marylin Kim

James "Bud" and Marylin Kim of Butler will celebrate 55 years of marriage Friday. A family dinner is planned.

The former Marylin Dodds married Kim Oct. 13, 1951, at Calvary United Presbyterian Church in Butler.

They have two children, Marcey Kim and James Kim, both of Butler.

They also have three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Kim is a former employee of American Hardware and retired in 1985 from Marmon-Keystone.

Mrs. Kim retired in 1992 from Mine Safety Appliances in Callery, where she worked as a receptionist.

The couple belonged to the former Calvary United Presbyterian Church.
